UAV Law Enforcement Training & Services

Law enforcement agencies are being targeted at Federal, State and local levels for both training and/or provision of turnkey surveillance and policing systems.

Opportunities are being driven by inherent flexibility, cost savings, safety and minimal disruption to the public compared with current helicopter based operations. First turnkey demonstration/rental systems are already established and operational and Strat Aero has already gained leads with several major potential clients.

The offering is centred on utilising multi-rotor UAVs, such as Strat Aero’s SkyRanger, capable of being carried in a police vehicle and made operational within ten minutes, to provide immediate eye in the sky visibility to support tactical decision making. Historically law enforcement has relied on helicopters for this function.

Helicopters are expensive, disruptive, represent a greater risk to the public, and not readily available to many law enforcement agencies. Therefore the UAV represents a viable and cost effective alternative.
